A major house renovation of this Victorian home which included a new garage left the existing site barren with only a few site features remaining to work with. The property was essentially a blank slate. Establishing key site lines from the house and discussions with the owners about how they would use the property lead to the arrangement of outdoor rooms and circulation patterns. Brick paths connect between buildings and bluestone patios create places to gather. The integrated plantings strengthened the structure of the garden as well as add visual appeal throughout the seasons.
